Evaluation, Diagnostic and Treatment

Evaluation, Diagnostic, and Treatment are separate components of the psychological process. Psychologists always evaluate the patients first then follow an educated diagnostic for a personalized treatment program.

"Norm-referenced" tests are only used as a tool to pinpoint academic, work-related, or social difficulties, and as an indication to focus specific areas that may need intervention. When required, "norm-referenced" tests, questionnaires, and checklists are utilized. This guarantees an objective assessment when comparing to other pre-standardized results within associated "norm groups." At the Laliberte Center, children, adolescents, and adults can be evaluated, assessed, and diagnosed, when required by a school, an institution, or the court.

When your child or adolescent is struggling with some area in their life, or reading, writing and comprehension abilities, standardized test will rank that child's ability compared to other children of a similar age group or grade level. We can also assist adults if an arbitrator or the court requires a specific evaluation in a family or work related dispute.

Psychological tests and assessments assist a psychologist to better understanding the underlying problem, and to decide the most effective treatment. Guidelines are set to help the child, adolescent, or adult to overcome any difficulties.
